Santa Monica Ranked Voting

Next Meeting is June 8th at 7:30 pm - SMRV's 1/2 Year Birthday!

Our next meeting is already soon upon us, and it will be "Get Involved, Part II." At our last meeting, we brought a list of projects for people to work on to promote Instant Runoff Voting and Choice Voting in Santa Monica and statewide. You came through-- we got many letters written and ranked-voting-related organizing set in motion. At this meeting, we will bring many new and different ideas so that you may continue help us advance the cause.

This will be our 6th meeting, and so after the meeting we will be celebrating Santa Monica Ranked Voting's 1/2 year birthday. Join us for a drink!

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be entitled "Get Involved!" It will be at Diedrich Coffee on Montana @ Lincoln on Monday, May 3rd at 7:30 pm. Be there and be ready to take action. We will have many suggestions for small projects that people or small groups of people can work on to build up this organization and to educate our fellow Santa Monicans about the benefits of IRV and Choice Voting.

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be a great opportunity to learn much more about Instant Runoff Voting and Choice Voting. We will be having a video night on April 6th at 7:30 pm. Come see some video clips about these wonderful voting systems, including elected officials from around the world telling us about what politics is like where ranked voting is in place. We will be popping popcorn, and voting on our favorite popcorn seasoning (using IRV, of course)! E-mail me (Amy) at [email protected] for the address. Look forward to seeing you there!
